July 23, 2015 – The designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) has been conferred upon Samantha Balin, Personal Insurance Provider of The Partners Group in Bellevue, Washington. She has earned this designation through the successful completion of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

The announcement was made by Dr. William T. Hold, President of the Society of CIC, who conferred the designation on Balin in an official ceremony conducted recently at the Double Tree Guest Suited in Seattle.

The Society of CIC is a key member of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation’s pre-eminent provider of insurance and risk management education. The National Alliance conducts more than 2,500 programs annually, throughout all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Currently, more than 31,000 agents and insurance professionals throughout the country have received the CIC designation.

Balin has demonstrated her professional competence through the successful completion of the five CIC institutes and comprehensive written examinations focusing on all major fields of insurance, insurance management, and agency operations.

Carrie McHale, Director of Personal Lines, stated “Samantha has worked hard to earn the Certified Insurance Counselor designation. She has shown her commitment to advancing her education, in addition to obtaining important aspects of insurance knowledge that she can pass on to her clients.”

Nantz is a seasoned veteran who has worked with three large national employee benefits carriers over the past 30 years; including MetLife, The Standard and Unum. Through his career Nantz has had progressive experience starting as a sales representative and working up to senior officer positions, including VP of National Accounts, VP of Operations, and VP of Sales. June 12, 2015 – Rod Cruickshank, President and Chief Executive Officer at The Partners Group, has been named director of the Council of Employee Benefits Executives (CEBE), effective May 29, 2015.

CEBE is an advisory board of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) and was chartered in 2001 to represent the benefits business interests of The Council’s member firms. The advisory board is comprised of 30 benefits executives from leading brokers and consultants across the U.S. who guide The Council’s benefits-focused advocacy, business intelligence and peer-share forums, including the annual Employee Benefits Leadership Forum.
