Gary finds working with clients to solve their problems and protect their needs the most satisfying part of his job at The Partners Group. Gary was born and raised in Oregon and graduated from OSU in 1990. He spent 10 years working for a Fortune 500 insurance company before joining The Partners Group in 2000. Gary holds his Life and Health license and currently sits on the Regence agent advisory board. His expertise includes benefit plan design, self-funding, life and disability planning, pharmacy benefit management, stop loss contracting, as well as executive benefit planning. Kim has extensive experience in client service, alternative health plan funding, compliance, open enrollment communication and project management. As Director of Employee Benefits, she oversees the delivery of employee benefit services to our clients and is committed to building long-lasting client relationships through excellent service and frequent communication. Kim is past president of the Oregon Cascades Chapter of CEBS, is a School Advisory Board Member at Hallinan Elementary School and coaches for Lake Oswego Soccer Club. She has a B.A. in Business Economics from Willamette University, is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and is a member of PAHU, PHRMA and ISCEBS. In 2006, Kim was recognized as The Partners Group Employee of the Year.

Mike Bonville, Employee Benefits Consultant

Mike Bonville’s MBA degree coupled with his depth of knowledge and industry experience in employee benefits consulting is a great asset to The Partners Group Montana office, which also serves the Mountain States Region including Montana, Idaho, and Utah.  Mike started his career in benefits 12 years ago in 2002 at Standard Insurance, and he has held a number of roles in the benefits industry including sales, marketing, brokerage sales, underwriting, and policy administration.  From 2009 to 2014 Mike worked at LifeMap, most recently as Sales Manager for Oregon and Montana where his role was to lead the sales team in Oregon and to expand LifeMap’s footprint into Montana.  Prior to joining LifeMap, Mike was a Sales Executive with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon.  Mike graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.  While at DU he played for the school’s varsity lacrosse program.  In 2010 Mike earned his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, where he concentrated on Entrepreneurial Finance.  Mike’s wife Alisun is a a fifth generation Montanan, and a Naturopathic Physician practicing in Bozeman, MT.  Mike and Alisun have two boys, Jasper and Hugh.  The Bonvilles like to spend their free time exploring the mountains, rivers and forests of Montana.

With more than 26 years of experience in the employee benefits field, Patty has designed and implemented health care strategies, integrated disability programs, alternative funding arrangements, retirement plans, paid time off policies, long-term care plans, and executive benefit programs for both large international corporations and small regional employers. Her collaborative approach to working with clients to help improve business performance has been the cornerstone of her career. Before joining The Partners Group, Patty was employed as a senior sales consultant and general manager with a Fortune 500 insurance company. Patty enjoys the opportunity to partner with her clients to design creative and innovative employee benefit solutions. Patty is a graduate of Oregon State University with a B.S. degree in Business Finance. She is a licensed Life and Health Insurance Consultant. When not at work, Patty spends time with her husband and three children. She is active in school fundraising, parent leadership and school sports.

Alisa has many years of experience in the insurance industry in Oregon. Prior to joining The Partners Group, Alisa worked for a large national carrier as a senior sales executive. In addition to employee benefits, she has a lengthy background in human resources both as a practicing professional and an HR consultant. Alisa received her degree in Business from the University of Redlands and her Master’s in Education from Portland State University. She has taught ethics courses through Portland Community College since 1999 where she was adjunct faculty, and to local insurance associations since 1997. Alisa also volunteers her time and is a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society board. Alisa and her husband have a large family all located here in Oregon including 13 year old, Jessie. Jeff came to The Partners Group with experience as a Lead Account Manager for nine school districts in Oregon. He was an active enroller in over 30 districts each year, providing core benefit counseling, voluntary products, and retirement options to employees in the Oregon K-12 market. Jeff is a licensed Life/Health Producer in Oregon and Washington. He served on the Evergreen School District Medical Sciences Advisory Council from 2009-2013. Jeff is also a four gallon blood donor. In his free time, he enjoys activities with his wife Lashell and his two children. He also enjoys lifting weights, playing basketball, and following his favorite Philadelphia sports teams.

With nearly 20 years of experience in health, life and disability insurance, Brad brings significant expertise in creating small- to medium-sized employer benefit programs. He holds a B.S. in Agricultural Science from California State University Fresno and is a NAHU/PAHU member. He is on the Healthnet Advisory Board. True to The Partners Group code, he always keeps his clients’ best interests in mind and spends his days helping people, whether it’s an individual who needs health insurance or one of his client groups that is looking for advice. Brad has two kids, two dogs, two houses and 32 acres of farmland to keep him busy.

With more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, Liz has a history of delivering exceptional client service in alternative health plan funding, compliance, open enrollment communications, benefits industry rules and regulations, and more. She is the Redmond Rotary Club president until June 30, 2013, a Ronald McDonald House committee member and a member of the East Cascade Association of Health Underwriters. Liz has a B.S. in Business Administration from Portland State University and is a licensed Health and Life Consultant.

Bruce began his insurance career after graduating from the University of Oregon. His first-hand experience with the devastating effects of disability led him to be an advocate for income replacement programs specializing in the healthcare sector, medical professionals, and business owners. In 1998, he associated with Benefit Partners LLC, where an extensive employee benefits practice was established. In May 2015, Benefit Partners became a member of The Partners Group. The practice continues special focus on income replacement strategies in addition to traditional core benefits for the professional and healthcare sector. His goal is to partner with all who provide our team the opportunity to be of service.

Holly began her insurance career in 1996 when she joined the nation’s leading disability carrier. She held a variety of positions on the carrier side of the business, including account management, marketing, and sales. In October 2004, Holly joined Benefit Partners, LLC, a benefit consulting firm, to expand the group benefits practice in the area of core benefit planning and voluntary/employee paid benefits. She developed an extensive clientele of businesses and individuals because of her keen focus on helping employers structure, communicate and implement benefit programs that balance cost while meeting the needs of employees. Holly also advises in income replacement strategies and business insurance strategies. In May 2015, Benefit Partners became a member of The Partners Group. Holly loves that her job allows her to advocate for her clients and be there for them when they need her most. She loves the communication process and working with employers to make sure their employees understand all the details to make the best decision. She enjoys building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners, HR professionals, and other key people. She also likes to work with professionals strategically on what they need for themselves and their employees. Holly is a Member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC), and the Portland Chapter of the National and Oregon Association of Health Underwriters. Sarah has a wealth of healthcare experience working with large, complex employers. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her clients and partnering with them to create sustainable and valued employee benefit programs, custom incentives to promote employee health and wellness, and strategies to ensure compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment. She has a strong reputation for her commitment to service and a unique ability to communicate complex messages effectively to a broad audience. Sarah graduated from Western Oregon University with a degree in Communication and Business. Sarah is an active board member of the Portland Rose Festival Foundation and volunteers frequently in the community. Zach came to The Partners Group with 11 years’ experience at regional benefits consulting firms, including a position as managing director of a northwest office. Dedicated to creating competitive employer health care plans that can succeed long-term, he now serves The Partners Group clients with health and benefits consulting, specifically for mid-sized to larger employers that are self-funded and have employees in multiple locations. He also provides financial reengineering of health plans, including deployment of wellness strategies to improve health and lower costs. An Oregon native with a wife and two daughters, Zach is on the board at Portland Children’s Museum and volunteers at Rieke Elementary. He has a B.S. in Finance from Oregon State University.

Alexa came to The Partners Group with nearly 14 years of experience in areas such as wellness program engagement, health promotion and wellness. As Managing Consultant of Health and Productivity at The Partners Group, Alexa’s role will be to lead the health and productivity segments, including product development, strategy, sales and project leadership for a variety of account segments in the Employer Services Division. In Addition, Alexa will focus on growing The Partners Group’s wellness package offering for insured plans, population health package with self-funded plans and Leave of Absence practice. Alexa graduated from Oregon State University, earning a BS in Political Science. She is a native Oregonian and resides in Southwest Portland with her husband David, their twin boys Benjamin and Luke, and 17 year old lab, Abby. In her free time, Alexa likes to spend time with her family, coaching her boys basketball team, running, reading, cooking, and traveling. Scott Hagan has over 26 years of experience working in the employee benefits industry in the Pacific Northwest, both with insurance carriers and as a consultant at Mercer.  Scott most recently worked with Regence Blue Shield of Washington as Director of Sales, and prior to that he spent over twelve years at Mercer working with clients from 100 to 8,000 employees, building benefit strategies that reduced costs, mitigated risk, and promoted a culture of health.   Scott is very active in local community organizations and professional associations.  He is a member of the local chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management, Western Pension and Benefits Council, and the Employee Benefit Planning Association of Seattle.  Over the last ten years, Scott has held board positions with Sound Mental Health and The Northwest Center, two benevolent non-profit organizations serving the mental health community and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Before becoming a partner with The Partners Group, Gus was principal with both The Meacham Group and Baldwin Resource Group. At The Partners Group, he puts his nearly three decades of experience to work for clients in the health care and public sectors, assisting with risk assessment, alternative funding, self-insuring, joint purchasing and group long-term disability. Gus is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, a past member of the Brokers Advisory Committee and a member of the Broker’s Advisory Committee for United Healthcare, 2010 to the present. He has coached wrestling and soccer and trained guide dogs for the blind. He has been married for 30 years and has three children.

Mark entered the insurance business in 1988 as a sales consultant for one of the nation’s largest insurance brokerage firms. He has spent 15 years as an employee benefit consultant and manager of two Fortune 500 Insurance Companies before joining The Partners Group. Brad joined The Partners Group executive management team to help team up with our newest member company, Benefit Partners. As a Consultant, Brad will support and expand this growing business division that focuses on meeting the needs of physician practices with employee benefits and insurance strategies. Brad has a deep knowledge in sales and operations in the employee benefits industry as a seasoned veteran who has worked for MetLife, Unum, and The Standard for the past 30 years. Brad’s extensive carrier background has allowed him a unique insight to the employee benefits marketplace and emerging trends, enabling customers to benefit from what is achievable today and into the future. Brad entered the business in 1985 as a Sales Consultant for one of the nation’s largest employee benefits companies. After spending nine years in the California market, he returned to his roots in the Northwest in 1995. Brad joined The Partners Group after most recently spending 15 years with The Standard, and has held several officer level positions in the employee benefits space including VP of National Accounts, VP of Operations, and VP of Sales. Brad has a political science degree from Oregon State University. Brad is also active on youth sports boards and loves spending time with his wife and three kids. Additionally he enjoys golfing, cycling, steelhead fishing, bird hunting, and snow skiing.

Now she serves The Partners Group clients with self-funded health plans, employer wellness programs, life and disability plans, and long-term care plans. Katie has a B.A. from Oregon State University in Business/Finance and has Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Group Benefits Advisor (GBA) designations. She spent more than 14 years volunteering for school and sports programs, and also is a volunteer for SMART. Katie enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, hiking and trying new adventures whenever possible. As a member of the strategic consulting team, Jean brings nearly 30 years of employee benefits experience to The Partners Group. In addition to developing new business with employers in the Northwest, Jean provides support to TPG’s Business Consulting division, focusing on Health and Wellness, Leave Management and Analytics. Prior to joining TPG, she was a National Accounts Executive with a Fortune 500 insurance company assisting employers with the design and implementation of absence management and integrated disability plans, financial and strategic analysis. Jean serves on her local DMEC Board and is active member of the community, volunteering her time with Side-by-Side, Ronald McDonald House and multiple school board committees. With over 15 years of Employee Benefits experience, Jennifer has developed a reputation for providing clients with excellent service. Barbara’s favorite aspect of her job is working with clients as part of their team. She especially enjoys helping them create solutions to benefit or administration issues. This business is all about relationships with clients and vendors, and Barbara loves the wonderful people she has been able to meet throughout her career. After graduating from college, Barbara worked for twelve years as an Account Manager for a major national insurance company. She then transitioned to an Account Executive role for a national third party administrator selling claim administration services and stop loss insurance. In 1996, Barbara started Outsourcing Service, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in both employee benefit plan projects and ongoing consulting services, primarily to large, self-insured employers. In February 2013, Outsourcing Services joined Benefit Partners LLC, a benefit consulting firm. In May 2015, Benefit Partners became a member of The Partners Group. Barbara is a member of the Cascade Chapter of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, and the Western Pension & Benefit Conference. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Portland State University and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, conferred by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Steve has been working in the employee benefits field since 1985, spending the first twelve years of his career with two leading group disability and life insurance carriers. In 1997, he launched his own employee benefit planning agency, Client First Group, Inc. which was subsequently transitioned to new ownership. In August 2010 he joined Benefit Partners LLC, providing strategic planning and account management across the group life, short-term disability, long-term disability, and long-term care insurance business lines with special emphasis in the physician market. In May 2015, Benefit Partners became a member of The Partners Group. Steve is a member of the Portland chapter of the National and Oregon Association of Health Underwriters, Board of Directors and Executive Committee member of the Gales Creek Camp Foundation (camp for 1st – 11th graders with Type 1 diabetes). He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Oregon, holds a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation; conferred by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans; and a Group Benefit Disability (GBDS) designation.
